Bobcat
I have not been able to get onto Bobcat for a week or so. Does anyone know if FFRC/Ustream is still broadcasting through Bobcat? Thanks.
Re: Bobcats Broadcast Site
Marelizabeth,
There were some problems this morning (Sunday, December 22, 2013) with the upstream chat that ended up crashing the system. Things are back to normal as of 3:00 p.m. FFRC time.
If you are using a desktop or laptop computer:
One thing that can cause problems with the upstream broadcast, is if your Adobe Flash software is out of date. If you do not have updates automatically scheduled from Adobe for their Flash software, you should always double check to make sure that your Flash software is up to date.
Here is the Adobe Flash site: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ NOTE - YOU WILL NEED TO SPECIFY WHICH COMPUTER OPERATING SYSTEM YOU ARE USING.
Here is the FFRC kitty cam broadcast site: http://www.fofrescue.org/kittycam3.html
Here is the Ustream broadcast site: http://www.ustream.tv/ffrc
If you are using a mobile device such as a tablet or smart phone - please make sure that your applications are up to date.
Let me know if you have additional questions and we'll try to get answers for you.

Re: Bobcat
Always keep in mind that how you receive the stream can be affected by Ustream.
With all the different technology that's now around ustream have to keep adapting to try and give full cover.
So at times you can watch it on computer but not the app.
The stream via the puffin browser may hiccup.
If using public WiFi, some actually have blocks on video streams.
So if you can, when you have a problem, check it out on a computer.

Killiegirl,
You are not alone in receiving this error message. Please note that the Bobcats site is not owned by FFRC, but by another party. This error message deals with the bobcats server and there is nothing we viewers can do to fix the error. I know this is frustrating, but please be patient with this situation.
Edited on January 14, 2015: Per Jacci Moss, viewers should use these official viewing sites:
Please use this link which is very similar to the page set-up found on bobcats.

or you can use the ustream site: http://www.ustream.tv/ffrc
