October 2015 Mini-Fund Raiser

Post by purple_cat » Fri Oct 16, 2015 2:03 pm

They come in and can’t tell us where they were, how they got to where ever they were found. They can’t tell us what they’ve seen. We can only imagine and really, we don’t want to know. We only want to tell them, it’ll be alright now. It’ll be better. They are safe. And now, their new life begins. They are given a bath and fed. They are held close. And slowly, they begin to trust. And now they are on the road to forever.
They are vaccinated for distemper, for Leukemia. They are tested for Leukemia/FIV/Heartworm. They are given antibiotics, some orally, some injectable. It all is done for their wellness.
It is all done with a gentleness to reassure them. And it all costs money. So much money. But it is all necessary, for them and for all the other cats they will come in contact with. One shortcut, can lead to terrible things. There are no shortcuts taken, despite the financial cost.
So let’s have a mini-fundraiser. Let’s pay for 2 trays of Distemper vaccines, 2 trays of Leukemia vaccines, antibiotics (oral & injectable) , disinfectant and a box of Leukemia/FIV/Heartworm test kits. All on order, all costing so much money. So few things, but so much money.
This mini-fundraiser runs Sunday October 18th, any time. You can buy tickets up until 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday October 21st.. Drawing will be Wednesday at 6:00 p.mish. (boxes will be at 5:30 p.m.)
You can buy as many tickets for as many items as you want!
Tickets are $5. Pay by paypal, or check. In the instructions line for paypal, be sure to put the Letter of the item (s) you want. There are 8 items, lettered A thru H. You can buy as many tickets you want, for as many items you want. Let’s say you want to donate $25 to buy 3 tickets for Letter A and two tickets for Letter C, just state on the instructions just that.
Below this post will be a picture of each item with a brief description. Just scroll thru the pics to see each one.
And finally, if you can’t buy any tickets, please don’t feel bad. Your support of FFRC comes in so many ways. Thank those who donated or made these wonderful items. Thank those who buy the tickets. Go in chat and say a simple thank you to all. Don’t complain about the ads on ustream. We all have a way to support FFRC, we all have bills, we all can do something to help FFRC pay those bills, knowing there are no shortcuts to ensure our cats, our FFRC cats are receiving the best possible care. They can’t tell us where they’ve been, but we can tell them they are heading for wellness and a wonderful life.
