The first year of Catstock it was held in September and the weather was cold and rainy. But people came to celebrate anyway. Good people coming together, regardless of the clouds overhead. The community came to celebrate and be celebrated. But the problem was, how does that community that exists thru a box on the wall participate? Well, that first year, the cam was brought outside and while it was a sometimes slow feed, we got to see the local community and we all got to see the Porchies and Covies welcome the locals.
Our dear Putter even came outside during one Catstock, looking all dapper, brought on stage to welcome everyone to this special community event.
One year we had a contest involving poo and some uncooperative horses and donkeys. And each year that community, that nation, that lives thru the box on the wall has been become more involved in this local event. Distance is just a measurement: you can be a thousand miles away and still be part of Catstock.
So let’s have some fun with those who are physically there, let’s Celebrate FFRC and Celebrate the community we are a part of. Let’s Celebrate our beloved cats as we all join in the fun.
We may be hundreds or thousands of miles away, but we webcammers are part of the FFRC Community.
