What they don’t know is just how lucky they are to be in a safe place, a little piece of heaven on earth. No, it’s not Iowa, but this place is just like a field of dreams. It is our field of dreams too. How lucky are we to witness such a place. And how lucky this place is to have us do our part to help them as they nurture, love and let these little legs run faster and grow.
Yes, we all do our part. We watch, we encourage, we love this place. For this is our FFRC, our place where dreams come true. It is a place where a cat can be tossed from a moving car and be saved, be healed and be whole again. It is a place where a cat can be found in a inhumane animal trap, facing life with only three legs, made whole again to learn to walk, learn to trust, learn that love is an amazing cure.
And it is a place where a cat that wobbles, tumbles but just wants to be a cat is allowed to be that cat.
Yes, how lucky are we to witness it all. And how lucky are they that their needs are met by us; By our donations, by our boxes, by our kindness to one another to create a place where so many can share in this place of dreams.
We support FFRC throughout the year, but this time of year is a little different. It is the biggest fundraiser of the year. It is an event that begins with the Catathon Raffle on Sunday, June 12th and ends in the actual Catathon on Sunday, June 19. You’ll hear much more about the Catathon in the coming days, but now for the raffle.
This fundraiser raffle runs Sunday, June 12th, any time. You can buy tickets up until 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday June, 15rh. Drawing will be during the Catathon on June, 19th.
You can buy as many tickets for as many items as you want!
Tickets are $5. Pay by paypal, or check. In the instructions line for paypal, be sure to put the Letter of the item (s) you want. There are 11 items, lettered A thru K. You can buy as many tickets you want, for as many items you want. Let’s say you want to donate $25 to buy 3 tickets for Letter A and two tickets for Letter C, just state on the instructions just that.
