How to remove the black box in chat

I've noticed the annoying black box is mentioned in chat sometimes. For those interested in being slightly adventurous, I have a way to remove the black box completely.

http://www.timscripts.com/2013/12/remov ... -chat.html contains the solution. I would've just done it here, but the forum doesn't allow me to format it as nicely; maybe an admin could create a page here :D. I'll go ahead and do a bit of an explanation here though.

That page contains something known as a bookmarklet. Rather than linking to another page like a normal bookmark, a bookmarklet manipulates the current page in some way. In this case, my bookmarklet removes the black box from chat.

Installing it is as simple as adding the Remove Box link to your bookmarks toolbar. On that page, I've added instructions for adding it to your bookmarks toolbar, but it's as simple as dragging the link over on most browsers. I've also added instructions on enabling the bookmarks toolbar, just in case it's not already enabled (default Chrome for instance).

To use it, you'll need to click the bookmark each time you load up the stream's page (or whenever you see the box). Clicking it will remove the box, so it will no longer appear no matter where you put your mouse cursor ;D

It's important to mention, though, that it's not wise to run scripts and programs provided by strangers on the internet (though I'd sure love to have that level of trust with you all :D). I've included an explanation on that page as to what the inner workings of the bookmarlet does. Also, I'm sure the wonderful admins/mods that run this site are perfectly qualified to check it out, so maybe you'll find it better to wait for them to okay it (or make a page here!).

I'm worried I made the process seem too complicated, though, with all my babbling, when it's actually pretty easy. If you have any questions, I would be happy to answer them!
