Catlady's visit

Catlady (Joni) made a video tape of her trip to FFRC to share with us. Later in Chat she shared a Untaped event. So I wrote this poem to clear the air (and let Joni know she was Not in any trouble)

Catlady's Visit

She has been down this road before
it was not at all the first time
The twists and the turns of the route she knew
it leads to the sublime

She knew this road – and where it led
– but how to show us all
Video – that's the ticket – yes
I'll video it all

Well maybe not all
– that is too much
but start at the dam . . .
Yes that has the touch

So we start out our journey – via her phone
To the power dam we go
and wind on our way – and yes it is ours
for she has made it so

We wend our way – and soak in each mile
Down past the Powerdam Express
And she calls out – 'I see the sign'
Though I could not (I confess)

She continued to tape the center and cats
that we have all come to love
and sharing this view with all of us
was a Gift beyond and above

But let me advise that the funniest thing
was never recorded that day
In a moment of opportunity taken
The Porchies took over KK

Poor catlady while unloading her car
and stowing away her gear
did not test the door and got interupted
The porchies took it from there

They saw their chance and took it too
and everyone came along
They were up on the beds, couches and counters
no place was safe for long

When Catlady finally returned to KK
just a short time had passed
but she opened the door and saw it all
and found herself aghast

Oh my – what have I done she said
while shooing cats away
What in the world will Jacci think?
Oh My , what will she say?

I will be banned from FFRC
This they will not tolerate
How could I let this happen
sigh, . . . but now it is too late

But maybe not – almost all are gone
just Cliff under the bed to do
and now he is gone – Yippee
Oh Fabio – not YOU

Get out of here before you pee
or I'll be found out for sure
oh ty Fabio – my pretty friend
for leaving with only a Purr

And so her secret safe and sound
she utters one great sigh
and regains her composure
. . . but can't quite live with the lie

Once home she overcomes her fear
and tells the Porchie's tale
and those of us in chat just then
swear silence without fail

But I think she has naught to fear
from FFRCs crew
I have no doubt a laugh is all
she'd get if Jacci ever knew

oh my, i remember. we told joni it was ok, but it was wonderful when jacci read your poem, faithy. our fearless leader did indeed laugh! in the video, i particularly like when jacci had to read over again that the porchies took over kk.
