Kittycam 4 Work arounds

Post by purple_cat » Mon Feb 26, 2018 3:28 pm

IMPORTANT!!!! DO NOT use https on any device to view the web page or kittycam4--the menu fonts will look wonky and the cams won't load.

Once someone has used https, their browser will revert to that no matter how many times they type the address as http.

Here are some quick fixes until we can correct the problem (we are working on it!!!):

On a PC and laptops: For Chrome, Edge, and Opera, chatters need to completely clear their browser cache/history, and then be sure to type in the address using http and NOT https. On Firefox, nothing seems to get away from https, but to the left of the https address they can click on the lock with the yellow warning sign, then click on the arrow to the right of “Connection is Not Secure,” and then click on “Disable Protection for Now.” That will load the pages properly.

On iPads and iPhones: For all browsers, the only fix seems to be to delete the browser app and then reload it from the App Store. All bookmarks should reload automatically and chatters should make certain any bookmark for the FFRC home page is http and NOT https.

For Androids: I assume the above procedure would be the same, but I have no way to test it since I don’t own one.

Once you've cleared caches and/or reloaded browser apps, use these http links:
